I'm Stephanie, a 31 year veteran retired teacher. I have tutored elementary and middle school aged students my whole career. I especially enjoy one on one or small group experience with kids. My classes have traditionally been very large (over 30 students per class) and I feel that having direct contact with one student can really help them achieve their goals and feel successful. I am comfortable with any subject at the elementary level, some middle and high school as well. I would love to help students increase their skills and confidence.
I have also been a GED teacher which was a very rewarding experience. We helped over 70 people prepare for and pass the GED exam during the two years I worked for the program. I would love to assist people in this way again.
I was a bilingual teacher for 20 years. I speak Spanish and I am familiar with the English acquisition process. I would enjoy helping people increase their English skills and/or pass English tests required by many businesses. I have also used my Spanish skills to help students with their Spanish. If your student needs help with their speaking, listening, or reading skills, I am also comfortable working in those areas as well.
