Hi, I'm Natalie! I graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Spanish. I tutored Spanish in college for 3 years and have always been passionate about the Spanish language since I started learning in 2002 when I was 10 years old.

Hi, I'm Natalie! I graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Spanish. I tutored Spanish in college for 3 years and have always been passionate about the Spanish language since I started learning in 2002 when I was 10 years old.

In my last year of college, one of my Spanish professors appointed me Teaching Assistant for one of his students. In that role, I met with one student over the course of the semester, helped to clarify the materials, proofread her essays, as well as provided insight and support. I see working with students 1-on-1 as such a valuable tool to personalize the experience of learning so that each student can achieve greater clarity and understanding at their own pace.

I love using my passion and knowledge for Spanish to help students gain confidence and proficiency in learning a second language. I enjoy supporting people in building a tool that will not only allow them to more proficiently communicate, but also have access to connection with different cultures, people, and places. As a Spanish Tutor, I create a comfortable welcoming environment for students to practice Spanish; I approach tutoring sessions with creativity and patience, and utilize a variety of helpful language learning tools to best clarify and make the the process of learning Spanish as accessible as possible!

In addition to being a Spanish Major, I have lived abroad in Ecuador for 4 months, Spain for over 1 year, and Costa Rica for about 3 weeks.
