With a strong foundation in education and counseling, I bring both professional training and real-world experience to my tutoring approach. I hold a bachelor’s degree and am currently completing my Master’s in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential. Through my graduate studies, I have developed a deep understanding of student development, learning differences, and effective educational strategies. I am also currently interning at a High School in Oceanside, CA, where I work directly with high school students in both academic and social-emotional support capacities.
Over the years, I have worked with students in a variety of settings—from classroom-based instruction to one-on-one academic coaching. My tutoring methods are highly personalized; I focus on identifying the student’s strengths, learning preferences, and areas of growth. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I’ve helped students navigate everything from essay writing and test preparation to executive functioning and motivation issues, especially those with diverse backgrounds or who face socioeconomic or emotional challenges.
My experience also includes working with youth in community and faith-based settings, which has equipped me to connect with a wide range of personalities and learning needs. I’ve supported middle and high school students through academic challenges, career planning, and developing confidence in their abilities. I tutor with empathy, strategy, and structure—always aiming to not just help students “get it,” but to actually own their learning.
