Bio

I am a Spanish teacher from Barcelona, Spain. I am bilingual, I also speak (and teach Catalan) and I am fluent in English.
I have been teaching over for 12 years so I have a wide experience in teaching different ages, styles, etc.
I moved to the Bay 4 years ago to teach an Elementary school in East Oakland. Since 2017 I am a fully California Credentialed teacher.

I have been Credentialed. I have been working in California for 4.5 years basing my instruction on Common Core Standards. I also was part of the Program Emerging Leaders (from the New Leaders organization) where instruction is Standard-aligned and data based.

I have been teaching Phonics for over 12 years and now part of the Early Literacy leadership team for my school and district. Teaching phonics and seeing kids discover the world around them and fostering love for reading are my passions!
