During college, I was a Human Biology major. I loved learning biology and connecting it to other disciplines--from psychology to human health! After graduating, worked for as a full-time biology TA at in Stanford's Human Biology department. I taught required discussion sections, held office hours and wrote and graded exams for a class of 200 college sophomores. At the end of the year, I received a teaching award for my role. Since then, I have continued to tutor students in biology at a range of levels. I have also tutored in inorganic and organic chemistry as well as biochemistry.
I have had a wide array of teaching experiences, but my role as a biology TA at Stanford positioned me to excel as a teacher. My course had 200 students, and I enjoyed the challenged of finding new ways to convey complicated material.
