As of summer 2017, I will have entered over fifteen years in the field of education and instructional education. This includes experience as an English as a second language instructor, reading instructor, writing instructor, study skills instructor, citizenship instructor, social studies teacher and adult literacy coordinator.
I was able to perform these positions as a result of his superior education at California State University, Chico, where he received a Master’s of Arts in Teaching International Languages that directly focused on teaching English as a second language.
As a result I was awarded his Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate. In addition, I received a Bachelor’s of Arts in History. The culmination of his education, certificates an instructional experience only provides a theoretical construct of his abilities to instruct non-native speakers of English. However experience and education does not adequately indicate who I am my services will improve clients’ English proficiency.
Thus, to know you must know his passion and dedication to improving lives through education. Although ESL has been one of the many ways he has improved lives through education.
I carry a certain affinity for ESL instruction because of the personal impact that ESL instruction has on improving the personal and professional goals of clients. Thus ESL instruction is a way to unlocking many of the personal and social barriers in the United States.
