I studied Spanish all through elementary school in Cuba. I assisted the Spanish teacher in high school. I went to high school in Titusville, Florida.
In college at SFSU, I took several Spanish classes including: Post Colonial Literature, Translating Spanish to English, Advanced Spanish Grammar I, and II.
I have volunteered for more than 10 years as a Spanish interpreter and translator for the San Francisco Bar Association.
I also volunteered at the Family Law Center in San Rafael, CA. At the family Law Center, I interviewed monolingual Spanish speaking women.
I retired in 2012 from a large law firm with offices around the world. While there, I translated, for different attorneys, documents from Spanish to English and sometimes from English to Spanish. I wrote letter in Spanish for various attorneys. I also interpreted in depositions. And occasionally I interpreted in court at hearings.
Also, I was a state certified paralegal. I received my paralegal certificate from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA.
I am an experienced interpreter and translator. And now I am also available to tutor Spanish students.
