I was looking for someone who could teach me the most streamlined way to process and archive my photography. I met with Felicia and from the first few minutes I felt confident she would be a great fit. Initially Felicia looked over how I was storing my photos and gave me important tips on how to back up images (more robustly than I had been). Felicia taught me some very basic but crucial steps, from using LR when initially importing photos, to keeping a clean hierarchy of files on my external drive, to cleaning up catalogs and ultimately (in my case) keeping only one, and finally to importing photos into LR. During screen sharing Felicia showed me how to import my thousands of photos into LR. She gave me tips on placing value on each photo by using LR colored flags. The point I was picking up and that I think Felicia was stressing was to simplify (and customize to your needs) the process as much as possible but utilize the mechanics of what the software, in this case Lightroom offers, as much as possible. Developing a streamlined approach to archiving and developing my photographs has been a task I found overwhelming and defenitely needed help with. Felicia's calm manner, her great listening skills, her personable nature and her broad scope of knowledge about digital software helped me tremendously, and in just two hours. She uses Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop everyday in her commercial photography, so she understands the big picture of how photographers utilize the apps, not just from the tech side of the equation.
