Hi I'm Jessica! I absolutely love math and science and I want to share that love with you! With a degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT, you can trust that I am no slouch when it comes to STEM topics and will guide you through any and every STEM challenge you are having in school at the moment.
I learned to teach science at a science museum (think like the Lawrence, the Chabot, or California Academy of Sciences), which means that first and foremost, my teaching philosiphy is that STEM is for everyone. No matter who you are, you have the ability to understand, and possibly even enjoy science, math, and learning in general. That moment where everything clicks is possible for everyone, and will be so rewarding when you get it. I will do everything in my power to help you understand, from silly analogies to fun, hand-on activites. I once had someone compare my teaching to Bill Nye, and I have never recieved a higher compliment.
While my preference is for teaching 4th-8th grade math and science, I am more than willing to assist with high school subjects, AP classes such as AP Chemistry, or ACT Math and Science test prep.
