I am currently an adjunct professor in the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont and a Senior Research Fellow with the Center for Global Resilience and Security. I am a humanitarian response professional with experience across Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia implementing and coordinating multi-sectoral emergency operations and programming for both international non-governmental organizations and the United Nations system. My technical specializations include global health preparedness and response, humanitarian supply chain and logistics, conflict and displacement dynamics, and interagency coordination and operations in sudden onset and complex emergencies.

I hold a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Criminal Justice from John Jay College, together concentrating on global underdevelopment and insecurity. I have taught, tutored, trained, and lectured off and on for over twenty years with students ranging from secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels while covering topics including English reading, writing, grammar and composition; social studies and government; political science; global studies; intercultural communication; emergency management; and study skills, organization, and test preparation. I focus on making learning enjoyable and effective through clear explanations, error analysis, and highly personalized learning strategies. By emphasizing rapport, using positive reinforcement, and incorporating gamified activities, I adapt lessons to each student’s needs through differentiated instruction and cross-cultural awareness.
