Hello! My name is Charlotte and I am an Architect and Educator with a passion for communicating complex ideas in simple terms that everyone can understand. I have several years of experience helping students with high school, college, and graduate school writing. I specialize in college application essays, helping students showcase their unique experience & personality to even the most hardened admissions committee!
I have experience with the common app personal statement prompts, as well as supplemental essays for the Ivy League and Stanford, and the MIT, UC, and CSU application systems. I can also offer assistance with graduate school personal statements, research papers and cover letters.
I graduated from Harvard University with my B.A. in chemistry and a minor in history of art & architecture. I have a Master of Architecture from MIT, where I was awarded the Imre Halasz Thesis Prize, the Ed Allen Student Award for Excellence in Architecture & Building Technology, and the Marjorie Pierce / Dean William Emerson Fellowship Award. I worked as a Teaching Fellow throughout my time at both universities, where I gained exposure to a variety of persuasive and expository writing techniques.
My science and humanities background have offered me experience in a broad range of writing styles. I can work with you at any point in the writing process, including the following:
Topic generation
Outlining
Formatting
Grammar
Scientific Writing
