Hi, I'm Stephen! I’m a UCLA graduate with degrees in Physics and Economics, and I’m passionate about helping students master challenging subjects like Calculus, Economics, and SAT/ACT Test Prep. With over 5 years of one-on-one tutoring experience, including active work in the last year, I’ve supported students from elementary to college in achieving their academic goals.

I believe the best learning happens when a tutor meets the student exactly where they are. I’m a patient and thoughtful instructor, always working to identify and address foundational gaps that might be holding a student back. My goal is to help you build a strong conceptual base, so you can approach complex topics with confidence and clarity.

My academic background is rigorous—I completed my Physics degree at UCLA in just 3 years—and I’ve scored in the top 1% on standardized tests, including a 2340 SAT (800 Math, 800 Writing, 740 Reading) and a 34 ACT. I bring that analytical mindset to my tutoring sessions, but I always explain things in plain language and adapt to the student's pace and learning style.

Before becoming a full-time farmer (yes, really!), I worked for 4 years as a software engineer in industry. That experience honed my problem-solving skills and my ability to break down complex systems—skills I now bring into every tutoring session.
