Hi, I'm Christina! I am a current Analytics graduate student and previously studied Psychology and Child Learning and Development for my undergraduate degree. I am a passionate educator, looking to provide equitable teaching practices because everyone has a unique learning journey!
As former tutoring center supervisor, I worked with children from grades 1st through 12th. In this time, I matched tutors with students based on my understanding of their academic journey, and I would also tutor my students, mostly on 1st-12th reading, math, and history. I created learning plans, detected areas of growth, compiled curriculum based on certain needs, and created structure and schedules for tutoring sessions.
In addition, I am a former Americorps member, where I worked in a 7th grade ELA classroom, where I created small tutoring groups of students who needed additional assistance. Here, we spent extra time on understanding their lessons and applying them to their assignments so they would not fall behind.
In these past 4 years, I worked with large groups (30+ children), curated small group learning (5 or less), and one-on-one tutoring. I prioritized building great relationships, creating structure for my students, and building confidence for my students to have agency in their learning journeys.
