I absolutely love connecting with and inspiring students of all ages and using my extensive experience to act as a "players coach", facilitating my coaching with personal anecdotes and examples. I cover all speaking roles, impromptu prep, winning strategies, and speaking style. Another unique aspect of my coaching is my understanding of the role of the judge. I have chaired many final rounds and understand the decision-making process of judging quite well, and I always urge my students to use certain strategies to cater to the judge and make their decisions as easy as possible.
In addition to debate, my background as a writer includes work for UC Berkeley's student newspaper, freelance articles and recipes, published academic work in undergraduate journals, and a 45-page senior thesis on the intersection between spirituality and counseling psychology. Aside from college essays, I am more than prepared to help you work on any essays of your choice thanks to my wide range of published works.
