As a senior engineer and project manager at PlayStation, I led the creation of a ton of new properties using React.js, React Native, HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, and Python: social media applications, developer tools, and the current PS App (nominated for a Webby in 2021.) I'm friendly and fun, and I excel at spoken communication and breaking down complex topics into simple concepts.
I've also built UI and managed front end teams at companies like Carbon Black, Visible Body, Pearson, and Yahoo!. Finally, I've got a master's degree in instructional design and many years of experience in teaching my co-workers and peers in the tech industry. I love to teach, and I'd like to offer you my depth and breadth of experience to help you in your front end learning journey.
Oh - and I teach guitar and bass too! I'm an accomplished guitarist, bassist, and recording artist with the Boston band Spinning Jenny. I can teach you rock, blues, and acoustic fingerstyle - at your pace, focusing on theory, song structure, chords, soloing, or anything you want to learn!
