I have 2 years of experience being a teacher's assistant in a math class, and 1 year of experience as an after school math tutor. The main thing I love about tutoring is the successful part. Anyone can show you how to do math but if the student does not fully understand the steps on his own, then you failed as a tutor.

Throughout my years I've learned the key to begin a good tutoring, is patience and understanding of how the student learns. You must work on areas where the student is having trouble the most, repeat yourself and go over things more than once. I've seen so much knowledge go to waste because the student does not want to learn or choose to ask for assistance.
Ever since I was a young boy, I always wanted to walk into a classroom full of students ready to learn. My favorite subject is math. I am great at all subjects but I just absolutely love numbers. I was always that student that would finish first to help others around me. Some teachers would get annoyed by me and other teachers loved the help I would provide.
