I am a first year student at Virginia Tech in the Pamplin College of Business, and I tutor math, statistics, and related academic skills with a step by step, practical approach. My educational background includes strong preparation in math and business coursework, and I am currently continuing that foundation through college classes in areas like calculus, statistics, finance, and data focused work. I do not use a one size fits all method. I focus on identifying exactly where a student gets stuck, then breaking the topic into smaller parts until it makes sense.
Most of my teaching experience has been in one on one settings, helping classmates and peers work through assignments, test review, and difficult concepts. I am especially good at explaining problems in simpler language, showing the process clearly, and helping students build confidence instead of just memorizing steps. I can help with homework support, quiz and exam prep, study habits, and problem solving practice, and I try to make each session organized, patient, and efficient.
I work best with middle school, high school, and intro college level students who want clear explanations and steady progress. My goal is not just to get through one assignment, but to help students understand why a method works so they can solve similar problems on their own. I take tutoring seriously, communicate clearly, and aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
