Hello! My name is Cassandra, and I am passionate about helping students conquer math with confidence. I hold both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Jackson State University. My journey into teaching began with Teach for America, where I discovered my love for engaging students in creative ways to make math fun and accessible.

With over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in mathematics for grades 6–12, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Integrated Math 1-3, and Common Core Math for 6th and 7th grades. I’m certified to teach mathematics in both California and Georgia and have taught in diverse settings, including a four-year stint in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, teaching English Language Learners.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in high expectations, fostering independence, and building confidence. I believe that all teachers are superheroes, and math is my "superpower." To make math less intimidating, I infuse lessons with creativity, games, and real-world applications, creating an environment that balances fun with discipline and work ethic. My motto is: "Practice doesn’t make perfect; it makes permanent. Be sure to practice correctly to achieve perfection."
