Hi! My name is Valerie, and I am currently completing my Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce, with a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and can provide tutoring in either language.

I have over two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant working with graduate-level students in School Psychology. In this role, I supported students during their clinical training by helping with case conceptualizations, intervention planning, and role-playing therapeutic techniques. I also assisted with academic writing and assignments, helping students strengthen both their understanding and confidence.

I specialize in psychology courses (including general, abnormal, and clinical psychology), as well as APA-style writing and academic assignments. I can help with:
APA formatting (7th edition)
Essay organization and clarity
Case conceptualizations
Intervention planning and role-play practice
Understanding complex psychological concepts

I work with undergraduate and graduate students, particularly those in psychology, counseling, and related fields. My goal is to help students not only complete their assignments, but truly understand the material and feel confident in their academic and clinical skills.

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I encourage students to share materials in advance so we can make the most of each session.
