Moving to the U.S. at 13 as a first-generation immigrant, school was extremely challenging for me. In high school, I struggled to see the purpose behind what we were learning, especially in science subjects. I had difficulty connecting concepts and often felt like I simply wasn’t “good at science.” When I entered college, I decided to challenge that belief. Experimenting with different study strategies, learning how professors design exams, and focusing on conceptual understanding. I ended up making the Dean’s List throughout college and graduated with a 4.0 science GPA with A’s in all of my major and pre-health courses. I also achieved perfect scores on my MCAT science sections and will be starting medical school in Summer 2026 :) Because I once struggled myself, I understand exactly where students get stuck and how to help them break through those barriers. One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring for me is helping students overcome their fear of difficult classes and school in general, and showing them that if I was able to turn things around, they can too.
I have extensive experience tutoring and teaching science at multiple levels. During college, I regularly tutored classmates in general, organic, and biochemistry, as well as biology and other core sciences. I also served as a Peer Learning Facilitator for Exercise Physiology, leading review sessions and supporting students in exam preparation. In addition, I currently work as a phlebotomy instructor, where I lecture on anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures and supervise hands-on laboratory training. My tutoring approach is highly personalized. Every student learns differently, so I first focus on understanding how your class works, how your professor tests material, and how you learn best. I help students connect concepts so the material actually makes sense, and then we focus on test-taking and problem-solving. My goal is to help you ace your class and truly understand and apply the material in your classroom.
