Hello! My name is Daron. I graduated with a degree in Neuroscience from UCLA in 2019. Three years later, I completed, with Dean's List honors all four semesters and a cumulative 3.97 GPA, the Master of Business and Science program at KGI. Hello! My name is Daron. I graduated with a degree in Neuroscience from UCLA in 2019. Three years later, I completed, with Dean's List honors all four semesters and a cumulative 3.97 GPA, the Master of Business and Science program at KGI. I started tutoring in high school when a couple of my teachers suggested I could help some of my peers. Since then, I've tutored students/peers at my own age/grade level (I tutored peers in Geometry and Algebra II as I was taking the classes myself), I've tutored as a volunteer at multiple middle schools (I tutored groups of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in pre-Algebra and Algebra I), and I've been employed as a private tutor (I tutored three high schoolers in pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II) in between my undergraduate and graduate school years. Long story short, I have tutored a variety of students ages 12-17 with different backgrounds and different learning styles over a span of 8 years. I have tutored pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. Regardless of the exact topic, helping students understand and appreciate concepts as well as gain confidence using those concepts to solve problems is always very rewarding.

Throughout my academic career, I took a variety of math courses, the highest level being multivariable calculus. I have the expertise, but I believe I also offer perspective on the importance of math in life. Even today, as a data analyst, I find myself benefitting from my comfort with math. Many students often wonder how math skills can benefit them; a proper understanding of how and why the skills are important can provide motivation to learn, often making the process easier and even enjoyable.

If you or your student finds math intimidating, has a difficult time understanding lessons in class, and/or has a unique learning style, I may be able to help! I look forward to working with you and/or your student to help improve math grades, help gain confidence with the skills, and even help make math fun!
