I have collaborated and assisted numerous composers in their songwriting. I love the creative process, and am very excited to collaborate with others in songwriting. Great! Surprised Myself!

I thought Manhattan, 1928 was going to crash. It didn’t. Tinkering with fingering, lighter touch, and thinking in intervals helped and made the piece flow surprisingly well. Sight reading ballad otonal went better than expected too. Starting Martha Mier this week. Thanks James!

Each week, a Lighter Touch

My hands are transforming from a claw and hammer to 20 graceful and nimble dancers. My touch is lighter. My playing and listening grow more sophisticated. It’s a challenge, but it is pure joy! Thanks James!

1 year!

Finished a full year of lessons with James. I can read music! I can use both hands at the same time! I understand the circle of fifths! I’m enjoying playing the piano, and my family is impressed! Woo hoo! Thanks James!

Level 6!

Happy to get to level 6! My playing feels more natural. Focusing on getting left hand automatic, so right hand follow along. James’s method is great!

Thank you!

Great session. We were able to help remove that trapped sound by lowering my larynx, mixing and tucking my chin. I will continue to practice!

Excited to Move Forward!

I can’t believe I’m close to completing book 5! I’m very excited to see what’s next! Really focusing on wrists now, so I can continue to lighten my touch. My sight reading has improved significantly. Still needs work, but it’s so much better. Thanks James!
