Knowledgeable Tutor

Mr. James is a very knowledgeable tutor. He is good with teaching in depth the high and low notes for improving singing. And also encourages kids to try singing the song lines in both low as well as high notes and corrects and teaches if something is not as per the notes.

Professional and a wealth of knowledge

My artist said she learned more from James in one session than she ever learned from many others in several sessions. I highly recommend James especially for voice lessons.

Experienced and encouraging teacher

I learned a few pieces from Faber, Beyer, and Thompson. Good mix, good amount of homework work, I feel Learning & growing. James has a good ear while I was playing and would be able to point out where I made an error quickly.

Professional and supportive tutor

I just had my first piano class with James. I think it was a pretty good start since James was able to pick up where I am with piano quickly and was able to point out the issues that I have by listening. We worked on the legato, finger practice, sight-reading, and pedal use, which I think it's exactly what I need right now. He is a professional and supportive tutor. He is also patient to explain things again with different ways if I didn't get it. I think he has the qualities that I look for in a piano teacher based on the first lesson. So I definitely recommend him if you are hesitating. I'm looking forward to the second class with James.

Great Piano teacher

Finally I found a Piano teacher that I am comfortable working with. I don’t feel nervous or pressured during the lesson. Unlike other teachers, he is open minded & gives the opportunity to student to advance faster if there’s a potential.

Wonderful teacher for my daughter's piano lessons!

James is patient and gives tremendous guidance for my daughter who is learning piano. The distance learning sessions are actually very doable as I was curious to know how it would work. I highly recommend James as a piano instructor for all levels and ages!

Challenging & Patient

My first lesson with James was my first ever lesson in music and we jumped right in to reading. It was challenging and humbling, but he was patient, kind, and supportive. I’m excited to practice and continue meeting weekly. Highly recommended.
