Hi, my name is Corey and I am a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, with a BS in Business Administration. I have 3+ years of experience working one-on-one with students as a math tutor. As a tutor, I've primarily worked one-on-one with young students on math skills. In addition, I've also written and produced over 50 video lessons for a tutoring company on various soft skills for students and young adults. I also teach a weekly Associate's Degree class in Video Production at a local university.
I have a variety of experiences that cover work with students ages 5-30 and with students from around the world (including US, UK, Australia, Brazil, Korea, Thailand, and Armenia).
Some math topics I've covered in the past include: Statistics, Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus, and ACT Math Prep.
In my personal educational experience, I received 5s on the AP Calculus AB and BC, Precalculus, and Statistics exams, as well as a 36 on the ACT Math section. I worked with multiple tutors on math enrichment when I was a student and pay forward the caring and patient teaching style that they imparted on me.
I pride myself on connecting with students and finding ways to make the material more fun for them. My goal is to empower students to feel confident to the point that they no longer need my help.
