My teaching philosophy is built on understanding the student with whom I am working. I firmly believe that a rich rapport, earned trust and a strong relationship are key to building a successful learning environment. I strive not only to support my students as they work through their material, but to build their confidence as they continue to move through their course or assignment creating the tools for them to succeed in the short term AND the long term. Working with me helps students feel as if they have an ally in their work; free to fail and make mistakes, rather than yet another person to whom they are responsible.
