Hello, this is Ramon. I’m a touring/session musician and a guitar teacher! I have a degree in Education by University of Granada and a AA program in Electric Guitar by Musicians Institute. For the past 15 years I toured the world with artists like Grandson, I played in festivals like “I Heart Radio” or “LoolaPalooza”, I performed in the biggest TV shows in America like the “Ellen Show”, “Conan O’Brien” or the “Seth Meyers Show”.

Being an active professional musician gives me the opportunity to learn about my field every day and I really enjoy sharing this knowledge with my students. I’ve been teaching private guitar and music lessons in English and Spanish for more than 15 years, online, face to face, all levels, ages and stiles. I customize my lessons individually to each student in order to achieve their personal goals. What I always do, is to record a short video, at the end of our lesson, with a summary of everything we worked on. That way they can concentrate during the classes without worrying about missing out on any information. Knowing that they'll have that material, allows them to be present and focus on what we are working on: techniques, harmony, learning songs, etc.. and they always have the recording saved to review during the week.

I also taught in two private schools: “Modern Music School of Pasadena” and “Topanga Music School”, where on top of my private lessons I had groups and band ensembles. I guided them during the songwriting processes, teaching them writing exercises and techniques.

I try to always make my classes fun, relaxed and enjoyable because I firmly believe that you can only learn a new skill when you are having a fun time.

I like to keep in touch with my students (or their parents) during the days we don’t have class so if you have questions I'll answer ASAP.

Writing music is alway being my passion, have been writing songs since I was 13 years old. I had credits in albums all around the world like, Welcome to Babylon by Disciples of Babylon, Salto al vacio by Kronnen and work with producers Like Andres Torres.

Ramon was a wonderful instructor to work with. He is kind, friendly, and patient. This was my first class and I had 0 guitar experience. In just an hour, he was able to help me learn the basics of a song I enjoy and gave me several exercises to work on. Knowledgeable and inspiring teacher!

Ramon has been a great teacher. It just 3 lessons I've made great progress actually learning a new style of music (flamenco) I've always liked but but never tried. Instead of focusing just on theory and scales I was able to work on new techniques and applying to making great sounding music right away. Also was able to record the online lesson to review which was fantastic! He's also very receptive to going with any suggestions to whatever ideas on what I want to focus on. I've tried many guitar teachers and Ramon is definitely been great for me!
