Hello! I'm Lilit, a junior at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I'm double majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics and Physiological Psychology.
My passion for learning began long before college. During high school, I earned three Associate of Arts degrees in Mathematics, General Studies: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and General Studies: Social and Behavioral Sciences. Through the guidance of incredible tutors in middle and high school, I discovered that truly understanding concepts—not simply memorizing information—is the key to long-term success. That philosophy continues to shape the way I learn, and it's the approach I strive to share with every student I teach.
Although I have not worked as a professional tutor, I have gained valuable teaching experience through BEAM, an engineering outreach organization at UCLA. As a volunteer, I work with students at Title I schools in after-school programs, introducing them to exciting scientific concepts through hands-on labs, demonstrations, and interactive activities. I work closely with small groups of students, helping make science accessible, engaging, and fun. Watching students become curious and excited about learning has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career.
My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing a genuine understanding of the material. I believe learning should be engaging and enjoyable, and I work hard to make each lesson something students look forward to.
I am easy to reach, respond promptly, and am happy to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals and making learning an enjoyable experience!
