I bring an interdisciplinary background to tutoring, grounded in academic achievement and hands-on teaching experience. I hold a B.A. in Economics from Brown University and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where I earned honors including the Dean's Honor List and the Sonnet Schmidt Edmonds Award for Excellence in Energy and Environmental Law.
My teaching experience spans classroom instruction, individualized tutoring, and mentorship roles. As a paraeducator and tutor at Our Lady Queen of Angels School, I designed and delivered customized lesson plans for grades 5–8, providing one-on-one and small group support that improved comprehension and academic outcomes. I also coached 7th and 8th grade Academic Decathlon and 5th and 6th grade sports, supporting students’ intellectual and personal development. Additionally, I have tutored high school students in Algebra II and economics. During law school, I volunteered as an Instructor-Mentor with the Street Law Project, where I taught legal concepts to high school students in an accessible and engaging manner. These diverse experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, adapt to different learning needs, and foster meaningful educational relationships across age groups.
My teaching style is student-centered, focused on meeting learners where they are, building skills through tailored instruction, and promoting confidence and independence.
I’m also qualified to tutor and coach in swimming and water polo, based on my experience as a Division I NCAA athlete at Brown University, where I earned All-Academic Honors from the ACWPC. I’ve taught adult swim lessons, helping new swimmers build comfort, safety, and technique in the water. My coaching emphasizes progress through encouragement, proper form, and clear instruction.
With experience across academic and athletic domains, I offer well-rounded, adaptable support tailored to each learner’s goals.
