Hi, I’m Keon! I earned my B.S. in Molecular Biology with a minor in Psychology, and I’m currently completing a master’s degree in Translational Research while working toward my long-term goal of becoming an MD PhD. I tutor Biochemistry, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology, and Organic Chemistry I and II. I also work in a research lab developing new drug therapies for aggressive cancers, so I bring a real-world, applied way of explaining the material.
For the past four years, I’ve worked as a university tutor and served as a Teaching Assistant for Biology I and Biology II. I’ve supported 50-plus students in classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings through a university tutoring center and course-based support. My students have included middle schoolers, high school students, college students, and adults returning to school.
I was honored to be recognized as a top tutor at my university, with about a 95 percent recommendation rate and strong score improvements. I also passed the NREMT on my first attempt and earned the highest FSDAP final score in my EMT class.
When we work together, I do more than review notes. I pinpoint what is actually getting in the way, then we fix it step by step and practice in the same style your quizzes and exams use, including custom worksheets when helpful. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD and autism, and I keep sessions calm, clear, and supportive. Struggling does not mean you are bad at science. It usually means it has not been explained in a way that matches how you learn, and my goal is to help you build confidence, adapt to any question style, and explain the material clearly on your own!
