I am a university professor, author, programmer, tech director, media producer, vfx supervisor, designer, composer and imagineer.

I teach programming, game design, media production, app, game, AR and VR development at a university in Southern California. I authored the book, "Beginning Game Graphics" and have designed and produced many educational attractions, exhibits, films and games. I am a Vex Robotics judge and a Director of the California Science and Engineering Fair.

I work at the crossroads of imagination, art and technology, and have been honored to contribute to such popular brands as Amazon, Disney, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Lorimar, Madagascar, Mattel, Paramount, Seagate, SmartSound, Star Trek, Tandy, Transformers, Universal, Walmart, Warner Bros and The Magic Castle. I’ve worked in games, themeparks, museums, film and television, and have engineered apps, controls, DVDs, rides, shows, ride systems, editing, lighting, music and production software, laboratory robotics and scientific instruments. My work has contributed to two CEA Innovation Awards, several academy awards and a Popular Science Invention of the Year.

I taught the first game development classes offered by the LAUSD, chaired one of the earliest video game design programs, and was Head of Education for The VR/AR Association.

Learning is not memorization. It is understanding the ideas and principles, seeing the interconnections, and discovering how to apply them. I teach through demonstrations, real-world examples, challenges, stories, projects and games. I strive to go beyond fundamental concepts and help build a true understanding of what they mean, how they are used, and where they all fit together.

I was honored to work with, learn from and be guided by some of the world's most talented and visionary creators, designers, storytellers and engineers. They helped me build a uniquely fun and rewarding career. In turn, I feel personally honored by every student I am privileged to help guide along their path.

Harry helped my son so much!

We loved working with Harry. My son has been struggling every semester since he started college. This was the first semester that he was on top of his work, understood the game design material, and didn't have a crisis at the last minute. We will definitely be using Harry again!
