I am a college student majoring in Health Science with minors in Chemistry and Biology, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of the sciences through both coursework and self-teaching. Throughout my classes, especially in biology and chemistry, I’ve naturally become the person classmates come to for help because I’m able to break difficult ideas into clear, simple explanations. I struggled at first with several subjects myself, which helped me learn how to study efficiently, how to stay consistent, and how to build real understanding rather than memorizing. This makes me very patient with students who feel lost or discouraged, because I’ve been in their position and know how to guide them forward.
My tutoring style focuses on learning the material in a way that finally “clicks.” I work step-by-step, using examples, visual explanations, and repetition until the student feels confident. I don’t rush through lessons; instead, I make sure the student understands the foundations that everything else is built on. Although math is not my strongest subject, I am very confident in teaching biology, chemistry, organic chemistry fundamentals, and general study strategies for science courses. I also help students prepare for exams by showing them how to approach problems, how to manage their time, and how to study in a more structured way.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student go from confused to confident. My goal is to support each student, encourage them, and help them truly understand the material rather than just getting through homework. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, and I’m committed to helping them reach that point. I look forward to helping students feel capable, motivated, and ready to perform their best.
