I also taught adult swimming at the Napa Valley College for a few years. In my philosophy, effective coaching is a combination of teaching, encouraging, and helping people see that they can do more than they thought they could.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Butler University and my Masters in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. I took some PhD level courses in Management at the University of Arizona. I am a lifelong learner and still try to learn new things every day.
Other relevant work includes working one-on-one to teach skills and concepts. I have given private swim lessons for teenagers and adults and done some work as a personal trainer. I have tutored students in lower levels of geometry, algebra, statistics, psychology, and business.
I try to meet the students where they are academically and experientially and try to simplify concepts for easier understanding.
