Hello! My name is Ashley, and I am a licensed pharmacist practicing in the state of Hawaii and Idaho. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience and 700+ hours of 1-to-1 personalized tutoring hours with students from elementary to graduate level studies in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and pharmacy studies subject areas. This includes private tutoring as well as high school co-teaching, and university tutoring positions.
As a person who personally benefited from tutoring and English as a Second Language (ESL) during my own academic career transitioning from Japan to the U.S., I am very passionate in building rapport and supporting my tutee in their educational journey and goals. I encourage my tutee to provide information regarding their tutoring session (desired topic areas, problems/questions) ahead of time, in order to maximize the tutoring session to cover any questions or concerns. I also welcome students to have regular weekly sessions for review or enrichment purposes as well.
