Welcome, I'm Meghan! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and, more recently, with my Master's degree in Physiology. As an undergraduate, I found myself drawn to fascinating but challenging scientific coursework, which lead me to pursue a neuroscience major. Welcome, I'm Meghan! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and, more recently, with my Master's degree in Physiology. As an undergraduate, I found myself drawn to fascinating but challenging scientific coursework, which lead me to pursue a neuroscience major. From there, I discovered my passion for biomedical research. With 7 years of research experience thus far, I am well-versed in topics such as pharmacology and cancer biology. I also hold a Master's degree in Physiology, which rounds out my scientific knowledge and has allowed me to become an expert in anatomy, physiology, and biophysics.

My goal is to provide the best guidance and teaching style for my students as possible, and I am always open to feedback from students to find a process that works best for them. Anatomy

The curriculum for my Master's degree allowed me to take medical-school level coursework in Physiology, which required several courses in various aspects of anatomy (i.e. thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, and musculoskeletal).
Biology

I took AP biology in high school, and worked for several years as a biomedical research using various biological lab techniques. I have my Masters in Physiology and Anatomy, and have experience tutoring high school and college students across various biologically based coursework.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I have coauthored 6 publications (2 first-author) in scientific peer-reviewed journals for my research in developing novel therapies and diagnostic imaging markers for various types of cancers. These experiences have given me a fundamental understanding of the underlying principles in pharmacology (KD50, LD50, clearance, bioavailability, etc.). Moreover, I have taken pharmacology coursework pertaining to gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and endocrine physiology with first-year medical students as part of my Master's degree. Thus, I am well-versed in a wide array of pharmaceutical therapies used to treat various pathologies (e.g. nitroglycerin to treat stable angina).

I have a Master's degree in physiology and biophysics, which included coursework in metabolism, adrenergic pharmacology, and cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and endocrine physiology.
Psychology

I was a neuroscience major as an undergraduate student. During this time, I took several psychology and biology courses, which included coursework in social psychology, psychology of learning and memory (i.e. cognition), and the neurobiology of stress. I have also recently revisited psychology material in preparation for the MCAT exam.
