Whether you are an individual or part of a group I customize my lessons to ensure what you learn is most important to your success in your work and everyday life.

I work one-on-one or with groups of business professionals from all over the world to improve their English language communication skills in business English as well as everyday conversation on the job. If you would like to organize a class for yourself or your employees, we can discuss a group rate.

I have more than 15 years experience in the corporate/high tech world as a human resources manager with a passion for helping others improve communication through improved language skills. I also teach various ESL classes including conversation and job search at the Palo Alto as well as the Mountain View - Los Altos Adult Schools.

I am a graduate of UC Berkeley and have an MBA from New York University as well as a California Adult Ed Teaching Credential and Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

I adapt to learning styles and needs by creating interesting and interactive lessons that are relevant to the problems and situations faced by non-native English speakers every day. I have studied five languages myself so I know the challenges and excitement of learning them.

I enjoy "traveling" to new countries by learning about your culture while improving your ability to achieve your goals through improved speaking, writing, pronunciation, comprehension, grammar, and business communications such as interviewing and presentations.

  • Rate details: Weekends or evenings after 6:00 are $12/hour higher. For resume/ interview prep, it's also an additional $30/hour. For 2 and 3 ESL students, add $15/person.

I have worked with Sharon for months. She is no doubt the best tutor for Business English and English speaking!! And since she has more than 20 years' experience in the industry as a human resources manager, she knows what recruiters really like to see and what they like to hear.
