Hi! I’m Ken. Before I was a tutor, I was a student who loved math and science. In high school, I earned a 36 on the ACT and 5s on 11 AP exams—including Calculus AB/BC, Statistics, Physics C: Mechanics, Chemistry, and Biology. At Johns Hopkins, I double majored in computer science and math and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. After college, I worked as a software engineer at Amazon.
After working corporate for a few years, I decided it was time for a change. I became a tutor because I’ve always loved helping people learn. In high school, I helped classmates with homework; in college, I volunteered to tutor elementary school students in math and reading; and at Amazon, I taught coworkers about cloud architecture. Outside of work, I offer free coaching to friends in tennis and pickleball. As a teacher, I strive to be warm, patient, and encouraging, and I’ve found that people respond positively to that approach.
Currently, I tutor K–12 math and AP-level STEM subjects. Contact me if you’d like to learn more or schedule a lesson!
