Passionate Tutor– Helping Students Build Confidence in Learning

I am a junior at the University of Oregon studying psychology, and I am passionate about helping students succeed in a variety of academic areas. I have experience working with elementary and middle school students, helping them build confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking, and I also enjoy supporting older students with essay writing, college essay prep, psychology concepts, and study techniques. I focus on creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.

My tutoring approach is personalized because every student learns differently. I work closely with students to identify their strengths and areas for growth, using strategies such as guided reading, writing exercises, and interactive learning activities to make lessons both effective and enjoyable. I aim to help students not only understand the material but also develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and self-confidence. Whether it’s improving reading comprehension, refining writing skills, preparing for college applications, or mastering study techniques, I am committed to helping students reach their goals.

In addition to one-on-one tutoring, I have volunteered in educational settings and worked with children in small groups, giving me experience with different learning styles and classroom dynamics. I enjoy building positive relationships with students and helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to become independent, lifelong learners. My goal is to make learning meaningful and enjoyable, empowering students to succeed academically and beyond.
