Hi! I'm a medical student at the UC Riverside School of Medicine and a bilingual (English/Spanish) tutor for MCAT CARS, biology, anatomy, and premed science.
Education: I earned my B.S. in Biology from UCLA and have completed medical school coursework in anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.

MCAT/CARS: I self-studied for the MCAT twice and raised my CARS score from 126 (74th percentile) to 129 (95th percentile). What changed wasn't doing more passages; it was changing how I read and reviewed my mistakes. I teach students to stay focused through dense passages, find the author's argument, rule out tempting wrong answers, and spot their own error patterns. I also help self-studiers build realistic study plans.
Experience: For 4+ years, I've mentored students one-on-one and in groups. I founded HEAL (Health Empowerment through Active Leadership), an Inland Empire initiative where I lead health education workshops and mentor high school and college students interested in healthcare. My work as an ER scribe and medical interpreter helps me connect science to real patient care.
My approach: I'm first-gen and have ADHD, so I know the "standard" way of studying doesn't work for everyone. My sessions are interactive. I think out loud, have students explain concepts back to me, and focus on why answers are right or wrong instead of memorizing. Every session ends with a clear plan for what to work on next.
I work with high school students (biology, chemistry, anatomy), college students (biology, A&P, premed courses), and MCAT students, especially for CARS, study planning, and retakes. I'm especially glad to support first-gen students, students with ADHD, and Spanish-speaking families.
Send me a message about what you're working on. I'd love to help!
