I am currently completing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside. Throughout my education, I have built a strong foundation in mathematics, programming, and engineering through courses in algebra, calculus, data structures, algorithms, digital logic, computer architecture, embedded systems, and machine learning. These subjects have given me both a deep understanding of the material and the ability to explain challenging concepts in a way that is clear and approachable.
In addition to my academic background, I have several years of experience helping high school and college students in one-on-one settings. My approach is to identify where a student is struggling, break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps, and encourage them to think through problems rather than simply memorize solutions. I adapt my teaching style to each student's learning pace and focus on building confidence alongside problem-solving skills. Whether I am explaining algebraic concepts, working through calculus problems, debugging C++ code, or helping students understand computer engineering topics, my goal is to ensure they understand the underlying principles so they can apply what they learn independently.
As a student assistant and student lead in a university robotics laboratory, I have gained extensive teaching and mentoring experience. I led the development of our robotics camp curriculum, designing hands-on lessons and projects that introduce students to programming, electronics, and robotics concepts. I also taught the camp, working with high school and undergraduate students in both group and individual settings to help them build technical skills and confidence. I enjoy creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, and I am committed to helping each student achieve their academic goals while developing lasting confidence in STEM subjects.
