Born and raised in California, Michael has been passionate about interior design and technical drafting from a young age. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field, providing a strong foundation in design principles, construction documentation, and technical problem-solving.

As a freelance technical design consultant, Michael collaborates remotely with interior design firms on residential and boutique commercial projects throughout the United States. His experience includes developing floor plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, millwork details, cabinetry drawings, and coordinated construction document packages in AutoCAD. He also uses SketchUp for 3D modeling, visual coordination, and design communication throughout the project process.

In addition to software instruction, Michael provides workflow and production support for interior design professionals, emerging designers, and design firms working on active projects. His experience includes interpreting designer redlines, coordinating FF&E information, organizing drawing sets, refining drafting standards, and helping teams produce cleaner and more efficient construction documentation.

Michael’s teaching approach is grounded in real-world professional practice rather than generic software exercises. Sessions are tailored to each student’s or firm’s workflow, technical skill level, and project goals — whether learning foundational drafting skills, improving production efficiency, developing construction documents, or receiving technical support on live interior design projects.
