Hello!

I'm currently working as a web designer for a small firm. I'm in charge of creating as well as maintaining my company's website and web store. I'll be designing the look and feel [front-end] of the site as well as programming [back-end] of the shopping cart modules.

I've been tutoring since 2005 and have been a camp counselor during the summer. I have a passion for teaching those that want to learn! I also have a passion for Apple products, Adobe software, and designing! So, if I'm able to teach about my passion, then it's a perfect world!

I can teach at a fast or slow pace depending on what the students like. I tend to ask questions to review and make sure the students understand the entire concept whenever we get to a good stopping point. I’m a visual person so I like to teach visually, metaphorically, and giving many examples. I think this will make it easier for the students to learn.

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator

I started using Adobe Illustrator back in the late 1990s when it was called Illustrator 7. Many versions have been released since and new features introduced every time. As Adobe releases new versions, it is a necessity for me to keep up with the updates and its new features. I use Illustrator to create anything that is a vector graphic.
Adobe InDesign

Adobe InDesign

I've been working with the Adobe software when InDesign was at version 5, or CS3. Now, it is InDesign CC, so I have more than 10 years of experience with this software. I use InDesign for page layout concepts such as magazines, books, portfolio, or any multi-page projects.
Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop

I started using Adobe Photoshop back in the mid 1990s when it was called Photoshop 2. Many versions have been released since and new features introduced every time. As Adobe releases new versions, it is a necessity for me to keep up with the updates and its new features. I use Photoshop to enhance pictures. My favorite Photoshop tool is the Pen Tool.
Desktop Publishing

Desktop Publishing

Back in the late 1990s, I used Adobe PageMaker and Quark XPress for Desktop Publishing. Functionality wise, Quark XPress was a better choice back then so I mostly use Quark XPress. Overtime, Adobe released InDesign and Acrobat and it made me switch back to use solely the Adobe Suite. You can use both InDesign and Acrobat for Desktop Publishing because each has its own unique features. You can design a 50-page software manual using InDesign and print out the hard copy as well as export a PDF soft copy. You can, then, use Acrobat to create internal links or even add videos within the PDF itself.
Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver

I started using Adobe Dreamweaver back in the mid 1990s when it was called Macromedia Dreamweaver 2. Many versions have been released since and new features introduced every time. As Adobe releases new versions, it is a necessity for me to keep up with the updates and its new features. I use Dreamweaver to create and manage responsive websites.
Graphic Design

Graphic Design

I was first introduced to Graphic Design back in the late 1990s. After experiencing it for a few years, I realized I have an aptitude in this art category. Because I have a passion for creativity and a keen eye for design, Graphic Design comes easily. Getting an education also helps me understand what to do and what not to do as well as what works and what doesn't.
Macintosh

Macintosh

I started using a Mac back in 1997. I have decades of experience with it. Currently, I own an iMac and a MacBook Pro. I know all the keyboard shortcuts and even removing the hardware to replace batteries or upgrade drives. If you use an iPhone, you'll appreciate what a Mac can do for you!
Vietnamese

Vietnamese

Vietnamese was my first language and I still speak, read, and write it. I can type in Vietnamese with punctuations on either the computer or mobile devices. I have friends and family in Vietnam that I communicate on a daily basis, which help me improve more and more in speaking, reading, and writing. I also do freelance work in the Vietnamese community where I translate the Vietnamese documents such as birth or marriage certificates into English documents so they can be submitted to the USCIS.
Web Design

Web Design

My first introduction to web design was in the mid 1990s where there was the WYSIWYG programs such as Dreamweaver. I would first design my wireframe in Photoshop, create slices for my images, buttons, etc, and export those slices to use in Dreamweaver. In Dreamweaver, I would use tables to create my layout. Then moving on to the CSS years, and then the HTML5 years, and here we are now in the responsive design years.

Highly recommended!

Julian was able to fit me in on the same day and was incredibly patient and thorough. I needed a lot of help improving my skills in InDesign and working out design issues for a book I was creating. Julian has an excellent eye for design and was meticulous about details, ensuring I understood the reasons behind each instruction. We spent three hours going through techniques and examples in depth, and I left feeling more confident and equipped thanks to Julian’s patience and skill. If you are looking to become proficient in AI, this is your person!

Amazing Tutor!

Less than a minute after connecting on Zoom I knew Julianne understood what I needed. Not coding lessons. Not design advice. Not "you really should try WordPress". My Wyzant request was for help connecting my Dreamweaver site to the host, and she got straight to it. Thirty minutes later my issue was solved. Julianne is intelligent, communicative, efficient and affable. For any future needs, she's my "go to". I highly recommend.

Julianne is a very caring tutor. Her main goal is always to find different ways to help my son in stead of just “ getting a business done.” I’ll definitely reach out for Julianne for future lessons.

Excellent work on my broken website

Excellent work on my broken website. Hope the following meets your 160-character requirement. "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. "Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. "But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate—we can not consecrate—we can not hallow—this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or
