Chemistry and AP Environmental High School Science Teacher

Hi there! I am a high school AP Environmental Science, Chemistry and Biology teacher. I hold a CA teaching credential and I am extremely passionate about the sciences. Through my own years of navigating the various science subjects I have found some helpful tips and tricks to help make learning some of these tough subjects not only easier but more enjoyable!

I have been teaching science at the high school level since 2015. In those years I have taught Biology, Honors Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, AP Environmental Science and IB Environmental Science. I have taught AP Environmental Science for the last 8 years and have really come to master the requirements necessary to excel in the course and in turn pass the AP Exam. My pass rates are always above both the national and state average. This class really is a passion of mine.

I have earned a bachelor's degree in both biology and chemistry from CSU Chico as well as a masters in education with focus on diversity studies. During these years I also earned by California credential in both biology and chemistry.

I started tutoring over 15 years ago when I was in college. I have always enjoyed the one on one learning experience that tutoring provides. It is a stress free setting where students can feel free to ask questions and learn at their own pace. It has the ability to help students to not only learn new material but also gain the confidence and study skills to be able to go out and learn even more on their own.
