In California, I hold credentials in Secondary English and Special Education, mild/moderate, and I am Autism Authorized and English Language Learner Authorized and trained in Reading. I have taught students of all age levels, but the majority of my teaching has been with high school students, grades 9-12. I have taught Literature, writing, and Reading to students grades 9-12. I love working with students to help them learn how to be stronger writers and help them delve deeper into understanding literature. I have worked with students who have learning disabilities and autism to help them be successful in their academics. I also have a lot of experience working with English Language Learners.
For many years, I have worked with students and adults who are applying to university undergraduate and graduate programs by guiding them through the process of applying to college and writing Personal Statements and Personal Insight Questions (PIQs) if they’re applying to any University of California school. I also help students with editing and work with students writing a Thesis or Dissertation to guide them and edit their work.
