I first started tutoring in Law school with groups of students. I now tutor part time online through platforms such as Wyzant. My experience in tutoring began in my undergraduate years. I tutored groups of 7-8 law students in various areas of law, as well as in their essay writing struggles. In my Masters I continued to assist other students as a peer tutor for LLM students in writing and in law. Finally I currently work part time as a tutor remotely for students. I typically tutor students from high school all the way into Masters students.
My method typically consists of engaging with the student in asking them questions to better understand where the student may be experiencing difficulty. Once we have discovered the core root of the problem I begin with a breakdown of the subject matter in order to simplify and clarify the subject matter. What follows is a step by step approach to tackling the objective assigned together until it is completed to a satisfactory level. Ideally by the time we are finished completing the assigned task the student has already exhibited full understanding of the required material. To check I would ask the student if they have any additional questions, and ask around the subject matter as a confirmation of understanding.
In terms of knowledge, I am well equipped to handle a wide variety of subjects within the legal field. I typically specialized in Corporate or Commercial law, such subjects such as general Contracts, Mergers & Acquisitions, Tax Law & Contracts concluding on Shipment Terms. I am also well versed in the field of Copyrights & Patents, as well as Real Estate & Privacy.
