I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in medical imaging, where my research focused on developing and optimizing algorithms for PET image reconstruction and motion correction. My academic training covered advanced mathematics and signal processing in depth, including Fourier analysis, linear algebra, probability theory, optimization, and differential equations. I also hold a BSc in Electrical Engineering, a BA in Physics, and an MS in Electrical Engineering, giving me over a decade of experience working through technical material at every level from introductory to doctoral.

I have more than 10 years of experience teaching dozens of students across a wide range of levels and settings. This includes one-on-one private tutoring of high school and university students in math, physics, and computer science, as well as lecturing and teaching in group settings at the university level. I have also mentored high school students, lab members, and fellow graduate students through challenging technical coursework and research projects.

My approach to tutoring starts with understanding exactly where a student is struggling before jumping to solutions. I find that most difficulties in math and physics come from gaps in foundational intuition, so I focus on building genuine understanding from first principles rather than teaching shortcuts or memorization. I adapt my explanations to each student: using visual diagrams, worked examples, and real-world analogies to make abstract concepts concrete. Whether a student is preparing for an exam, working through a difficult concept, or looking to get ahead, my goal is always for them to leave each session feeling more confident and capable than when they arrived.
