I graduated from The University of Alabama in 2025 with a Master of Arts in Mathematics, following a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Music in 2023 — earning a 4.0 GPA throughout both degrees. Though I initially enrolled in the university’s aerospace engineering program, I soon discovered my true passion was mathematics.
I have over 4 years of experience teaching a myriad of subjects including finite math, algebra I and II, Euclidean geometry, calculus, and many more. I taught a college algebra class while I was a graduate teaching assistant, tutored my classmates and friends throughout undergraduate and graduate school, and worked for a few private tutoring companies. I bring my appreciation of the inner beauty of the subject to my students with challenging puzzles and problems rather than rote memorization of processes. In addition, I challenge most of the claims my students make while working or reasoning, whether correct or not, to reinforce the importance of planning and critical thinking. My teaching focuses on the creation of logical chains which link a problem and its solution.
I want to cultivate the curiosity, joy, and criticality which I know reside in every student, so I will work with students on anything they want to work on. I am easy to reach by email and respond quickly. Don't hesitate to contact me with questions or reach out to schedule a lesson.
