I am currently a first year Applied Mathematics student at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, I attended Mills High School where I completed AP Statistics and AP Calculus BC during my junior year. This allowed me to complete both Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra in my senior year of high school.
From a tutoring standpoint, I was a tutor at Mathnasium Learning Center, tutoring students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. There, I delivered Mathnasium lesson plans, assisted students with their schoolwork, and helped prepare them for their upcoming quizzes and exams. In a typical session, I would work with a minimum of three students and juggle their different needs as learners. I was also an Algebra 1 Teacher’s Aide for my high school and volunteered as a tutor for Berkeley High School’s Bridge program. Finally, during some of my summers I worked as a summer math teacher for second-grade students in a six-week summer camp. There, I developed my own lesson plans, quizzes, and composed detailed reports evaluating each student’s improvement on a weekly basis.
