As a university professor of the Humanities, I have taught at the university level for many years. I have also tutored for the SAT for more than twenty years, and most students raise their SAT scores by around 300 points. I can provide recommendations from parents and students. I also teach students how to write high-scoring SAT essays, and assist students in writing impressive personal statement essays for their college applications.

I had taken the PSAT as a sophomore and was disappointed by my score of 1610. I had always been a straight-A student with hard classes, so I suddenly felt very unprepared for the SAT. I worked with Ellie throughout the summer before my junior year and got a 2080 on my first SAT. I now have a super score of 2130, and I recently found out that I have qualified for the national merit scholar from when I took the PSAT in October of my junior year. I cannot thank Ellie enough and I look forward to working with her in the future for college apps! She definitely expects you to do the work you assign her, but if you do, the results will not disappoint you. Ellie is amazing!
Very good teacher, in my personal view there are many people that have knowledge but not very many have the talent or the know how to teach to others. She does have that talent.
I have been tutoring students for the verbal sections of the SAT and ACT for more than 20 years. I also teach university students how to write well and how to speed-read with more comprehension.
I have a Ph.D. in European Intellectual History, and I have taught in front of a classroom for many years. I also am a Master NLP Practitioner, and have experience teaching techniques that are useful in public speaking as well as how to overcome fears and concerns about presenting in public. My experience includes public speaking about a variety of topics, so I can also teach students how to prepare for their presentations.
I have a Ph.D. in Intellectual History from U.C. Berkeley, and have been teaching at the university level for more than 20 years. In addition, I am a published writer. I have been teaching the reading and writing sections of the SAT for many years, and my students usually get very high scores and are accepted into the colleges they want. I also help students with their essays.
