With a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from Bauhaus-University, Germany, I gained international experience as a freelance artist, exhibiting, publishing, teaching and lecturing while continuously growing my artistic practice, mainly focusing on drawing and three dimensional work with a wide range of media: www.christianehaase.com.
Over time further expanding my interest in art education, I have taught diverse student demographics, mainly in class room settings or during workshops, ranging from preschoolers to Master's degree candidates, as well as art educators and professionals from various backgrounds. My teaching spans a wide array of media, from drawing, painting, and printmaking to three-dimensional work and includes areas like product design and architecture. I particularly focus on teaching strategies to generate ideas, overcome creative blocks and widen my students’ approach to creative problem solving.
I enjoy facilitating experiential, process-oriented, and project- and inquiry-based learning. As a dedicated educator I am striving to foster creativity and enjoy guiding students as they develop their unique artistic voices and passions, combining teaching with coaching strategies.
