My approach is supportive, structured, and personalized.

3. I coach students through essay content and structure, helping them earn top grades and write with confidence.

4. I adapt every session to each student’s goals, learning style, and needs.

Beyond English, I also offer tutoring in Theatre, Creative Writing, and Humanities subjects such as History and Social Studies. I’ve helped students gain admission to top universities through powerful personal statements and essays that capture their authentic voice.

Impressive Tutor!

I was thoroughly impressed with our first tutoring session! Before we even met, Tara took the time to review several of my son's papers and thoughtfully designed a customized course that directly addressed his specific needs and gaps. She connected so well with him, making the session engaging and productive right from the start. Highly recommend—can’t wait for the next one!

Excellent tutor!

We’ve had such a positive experience working with Tara. She is incredibly thorough and brings an intensity that really motivates my son to stay focused and engaged. It’s clear she cares deeply about her work and about helping him learn and succeed. She is extremely organized and proactive—right from the beginning she guided us on what supplies we needed, which made everything so much easier. She communicates clearly, directly, and to the point, which I really appreciate. At the same time, she is very thoughtful and caring in her approach. Overall, she has been an excellent tutor and I highly recommend her to any family looking for someone dedicated, professional, and effective.

She was very didactic and patient. My son has been struggling with AP English in 9th grade, but she helped him understand the material better and guided him through the areas he found most difficult. I really appreciate the way she encouraged his confidence while improving his comprehension skills. I would definitely recommend her.

Her lessons are perfectly tailored to my weak spots (especially listening and speaking), and she has a knack for explaining complex grammar in simple terms. Patient, professional, and always encouraging. 10/10 would recommend to anyone serious about leveling up their English!

Enthusiastic Tutor

I had a great experience working with Tara as my English tutor! We went over Macbeth by Shakespeare, and she really helped me understand the language, characters, and deeper meaning behind the play. Tara was always super motivated and brought so much energy to every session, which made learning a lot more enjoyable. She explained everything clearly and made sure I really understood before moving on. Thanks to her help, I felt much more confident reading and analyzing Shakespeare. I highly recommend Tara if you need support in English!
